David Chater’s preview of tonight’s programme in The Times
“First, the pair
cook red mullet with tomatoes, anchovies and porcini mushrooms. Next they make a baked dish out of layers of potato and cabbage, and finally they serve up torn sheets of pasta tossed in freshly made pesto. It would be worth buying the book
for these recipes alone.”
The boys are back on BBC2! Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo
return to Italy, where they continue their culinary journey. They begin in the southern region of Calabria, where they reminisce about their favourite childhood meals. Antonio reveals the secret of his hot packed-lunches while Gennaro shares his memories of the ritual pig kill. Featuring recipes for orzotto - a pork and pearl barley risotto - fish stew, and rice cake flavoured with orange.
Watch them in action from 8pm on BBC2!
The official tv tie-in book is published by Quadrille. For further details, go to www.quadrille.co.uk
